Keep growing

What do you learn from your life? What do you gain from your work?

I learn how ignorance I am, and I gain the conclusion how limited I am in the knowledge. Every time it seems I walked one step forward, I realize how much more I left behind.

In this amazing world, so many things we do not know and we might never will know or understand. But we shall keep ourselves eager in learning; and this will keep us growing. 

As far as life goes on, keeping learning and keeping growing.

Solution

What shall we do if we are looking for a solution, but can not find? Then the stress, pressure, sleepless night, nervous... all bad feeling comes up, which will not help at all.

What can we do? What shall we do? ...

It even took god 7 days to create the world. How long will we need to change the world - even to change our own life? As far as I do not give up, I know I will find the solution.  Mamamia.

Balancing

Here I am not talking about balancing the power or balancing the staffs, but about balancing the life and work.

When we are young, we believe we are full of energy and actually we are full of dream. We feel the work is more important than life, as we want to change our lives through our hard work. Is it true?

When we got age, we learned that we are just "we", same as many others -who are working as hard as us or even more harder; who had or still sharing the same dream as ours; while life does not completely change towards the way we want. Is it true?

We need the balance between life and work. Only it balances, you can gain the sustainable energy for the work; a positive attitude for the work;  more commitment for the work; to help for building a more harmony world.

How culture as issue can influence or impact in an organization?

This is really interesting and matters to many companies for different sizes; and it is becoming more important when the world is smaller.

As how it has influence in the organization, it is much easier to say and to notice. How it has impact in an organization? Which kind of impact it is?-- For this, you might only be able to notice and tell not when it starts but at a much later stage.

The impacts include: start the sub-group among employees;  inefficient communication and work; challenge for the management...

For a healthy organization, it can cure itself by facing the issue and leading to an open but objective work environment; and it might eventually turn a negative to a positive fact for developing the company culture. But it requires the determination and strength of the management.

But how the impact starts? If we know this, we can already stop it there. We might only see the different views, standing points, actions as a daily phoneme, and these are not sufficient enough to alert us.

Unnecessary risk

In many situation, we define that "challenge" = "risk"; and we are driving by " high risk, high return."

But without a clear picture of "risk",  we might start with a hope of success/win/gain while at that point it is already clear  of the result- fail.

In this case, balancing, calculating and measuring at the beginning is very important. We need to be able to detect it is really a high risk challenge or unnecessary risk that we shall avoid.

If we do already see one important fact that will lead you to fail by taking that challenge, and for which you have no solution; then at least to me, I will not define it as a challenge but an absolutely unnecessary risk, which we shall avoid for the life and business.

No give up, only give in.

By doing business, I tell myself never to give up, but I know sometimes I need to give in.

For the opportunity, for the revenue and for the target we shall never give up; but for gaining the opportunity, the revenue and reaching the target, we need to give in and make a comprise in some situation.

Also sometimes we need to comprises with ourselves, give in with ourselves. Your left half needs to work out with your right half; your emotional half needs to work out with your rational half. I think this is more difficult.

A beginning or an ending?

Each beginning is also an ending. While you begin something, in that way you also end something.
All can be triggered by one decision-- can be a very small decision but your life changes from there.

Everyone is naturally fear of change, because it makes us feel uncertain and unsecured. But life with no change, as the sea without wave, as the sky without wind.

Fearing of change and then be frightening to take challenge is limiting the joy of life and limiting the scale of success.

Every big change in the era always turns out as a big opportunity. So no matter in life or in business, we shall be open to the change. It is not easy! But without ending something, we can not make a new start.

Emotion


I was used to think that every sucessful person must have a strong personality and wear the hard mask- as hard as steel. No one shall be allowed to see the soft part behind it. Why?-- because the softness is not part of success, it is part of weakness and part of human being.

But we can not change the fact- we are human, so we do have the same feeling same emotion that others have. As a manager, we shall try to understand the feeling of our staffs/colleagues, so in return, they will be closer to their managers and share the same feeling with their managers. 

For a manager to show the feeling and emotion in working place is not disgrace, but shall be controlable.

Role model

Every one has his own role model-- can be the most closer one - from family; also can be the one very far to you- the one you got to know through history book.

Why we need role model? The one reason is it is lighting your way; you gain extra strength or faith by looking at your role model; and think and believe you will be closer or similar to him/her- your role model is the one you want to become or whose asset you want to be transferred to.

Is it possible that your manager or your boss also can be your role model?

My answer is YES. To be a good manager, he/she shall has the expectation that the staff shall be pride of their manager and might take him/her as their role model, and so more respect to their manager.The great respect is contributing in the couple relationship, and it also exists in good working relationship.
