To take step back as solution?

We will not always find a solution while trying to move forward and forward.
For business, if the organization structure and infrastructure grow slower than the business needs, shall we still beat the speed for  growing the business? Or we shall take one step back to have a breath? We will always feel bitter to see losing the opportunity, especially losing revenue and profit for a company.
